It appeared so eccentric,
But Salvador Dali knew,
His art was not meaningless.
Left of center,
With originality,
Over the edge,
The limits of sanity.

Sculptor,
Sensitivity,
Imagination,
All part of his grandeur.
"He was an outboard motor,
that was always running"-
Picasso said this in a way,
That was loving.
"The Persistence of Memory"
with the melting watches,
and the burning giraffe,
and the soft self-portrait.
