The Sardonic Comic
I was sitting in seat 315, At the stand up show, That last joke wasn't funny, It seemed rather dull.
The comedian stood on stage, With a microphone, Words were coming out, But it didn't hit home. The one-liner was told, But no one was laughing, It was dry and dumb, The humor very lacking. At the end of the set, The crowd didn't cheer, They booed instead. It's the sardonic comic! He wants a standing ovation! Everyone knows, It won't happen on this occasion!
