The Elements of Euclid
Is that a halo?
I see above your head?
Is it a circular ring?
Upon which you cannot tread?
Or is it a triangle, rectangle, or a square?
These things aren't as good,
Positioned above your hair.
Now, how about a trapezoid, pentagon, or a cone?
Euclid got it all,
He lived so many years ago.
Euclid was the man,
Greek as can be,
He compiled The Elements,
A total you must see.
But geometric geometry,
Shapes to check out,
Shapes for you and me.
Mathematical points,
Lines, angles, curves,
Surfaces and solids,
That didn't need any words.
