The Photos Of Mine
It only happens in the movies, On what they call celluloid, And today it's just so easy, To take a polaroid. But all the happy endings, You know they can't be real, And all the sad ones also, I think they're too gentile. That flashbulb goes off, And holds that space in time, It's stuck there on the film, In a place that's now enshrined. As I look back at the past, In the small time that I've lived, Photos keep me alive, And smiles I keep within. Glancing at those pictures, Some in color and black and white, I know I can still see them, This makes me feel all right. And all those friends I've known, And all those times I've shared, Shows when they were around, That they really, really cared.
